About the role

The Senior Analyst (Special Access Programs) plays a vital role within the Special Programs team in the Security department. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Office Manager with essential tasks, including processing personnel clearance requests for classified information access, developing and administering security procedures, and reporting critical information to clients, such as adverse information, personnel status changes, foreign contacts, and foreign travel.
• Updating computer databases with vital security information, ensuring compliance with federal security regulations, and coordinating with government agencies for regulatory compliance rulings and interpretations.
• Safeguarding employees' personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and other relevant government regulations.
• Supporting Program Security Management and daily operations.
• Aiding the CSSO in implementing program security requirements, coordinating with program leadership to maintain compliant processes across personnel vetting, physical security, accountability, control, SETA, and incident response.
• Maintaining security SOPs.
• Helping gather updates, draft simple revisions, and coordinate changes to facility or location specific SOPs that address basic security processes such as reporting requirements, clearance procedures, training, visitor handling, destruction and reproduction practices, and day-to-day operational logistics.
• Delivering security education & training (SETA).
• Providing initial, situational, and annual refresher training to accessed personnel; keeping training records current in the authorized system of record (e.g., JADE or successor).
• Managing personnel vetting records.
• Creating and maintaining vetting files (PSQs, PARs, SAPIA, foreign travel/contact reporting, incident documentation) in JADE or approved local records when JADE access is unavailable.
• Cooking up visitor control and escorts.
• Validating accesses via JADE/approved methods, managing visit notifications/logs, and ensuring proper escort of non-accessed visitors; implementing positive identification and visitor records retention per policy.
• Assisting with annual self-inspections.
• Helping the CSSO review facility security processes using a security compliance checklist, document basic findings, and support development and tracking of corrective action items under supervisor guidance.
• Safeguarding classified material.
• Following approved methods for storage, transmission, reproduction, destruction, and accountability (including annual inventory and disclosure sheets); supporting courier planning and execution with appropriate authorizations.
• Supporting incident reporting and inquiries; assisting Program Security Management with inquiries and documentation.
• Enforcing physical security procedures.
• Helping implement access control, badging, alarm/lock standards (to include alarm responses during off hours), entry/exit inspections, control of combinations, and management of PEDs/EMDs consistent with policies.
• Working extended hours as needed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven office environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience with 32 CFR, Part 117 (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07, JSIG, and ICD-705.
• Experience with Microsoft products.
• Related training with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, Center for Development of Security Excellence, or equivalent security certification programs.
• Willing to travel on company business.
