Sr Analyst - Machinery & Equipment Appraiser/Valuation

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Senior Analyst to work in our Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, or Dallas, TX office locations. Our services include valuation, tax, engineering, and financial consulting for financial reporting, tax reporting, property insurance, transaction advisory, litigation support, and financing.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and interpret client-provided financial and operational data
  • Apply certain assumptions to assign preliminary engagement conclusions
  • Create statistical models and exhibits showing engagement conclusions, assumptions, and calculations
  • Understand and utilize valuation techniques such as market, income, and cost approaches
  • Identify key conclusion drivers and account for them in statistical models
  • Participate in management interviews with the subject company to gather data pertinent to the engagement
  • Inspect complex machinery & equipment, buildings, and land improvements
  • Prepare and present analysis results in a clear and concise manner
  • Document all pertinent data used in analysis

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant valuation experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, finance, economics, business, or similar from an accredited college/university
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel operations and other office software products in a Windows environment

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using valuation techniques such as market, income, and cost approaches
  • Ability to conduct inspections of complex machinery & equipment, buildings, and land improvements
  • Experience in preparing and presenting analysis results in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong record-keeping skills to document all pertinent data used in analysis

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
