About The Role The Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis position is a unique opportunity to take on a vital role at a fast-growing company with the highest standards for talent. This person will be a critical member of the growing FP&A team, supporting financial data collection and integration, producing essential financial reporting, and analyzing company performance at a granular level. The ideal candidate combines high analytical rigor with meticulous attention to detail, treats reporting processes as something to be owned and continuously improved, builds deep fluency in our financial systems and tools, and communicates financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences. This person will be held to a high standard of confidentiality and ethics, managing sensitive financial information on a regular basis. Success in this role requires an eagerness and curiosity to develop a deep understanding of our business and industry: how media, measurement, and advisory services come together to drive client impact, and how the levers of a fast-growing business connect to the numbers that we are analyzing every day. Responsibilities Of a Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis Reporting: Build, maintain, and improve the financial backbone that leadership relies on to run the business Own and continuously improve our Adaptive Insights and dashboard-driven reporting suite Support monthly close reporting processes, including preparation and analysis of financial results, variance reporting, and executive-level reporting materials Produce and QA regular financial results with a zero-defect standard Turn dense financial detail into outputs that make the story obvious to non-finance audiences Partner with BU leaders to evolve what we measure. As we scale, the metrics that mattered yesterday won't all be the right ones going forward Analysis: Turn data into decisions leadership can act on Build fluency in our business model — how our services drive client impact, and how the revenue models and cost drivers relevant to your area of focus translate into our financial results Conduct assumptions-based modeling that stress-tests key company initiatives before capital or headcount gets committed Provide variance and root-cause analyses, including monthly forecast vs. actuals, that explain not just what happened, but why - and communicate insights directly to leadership Partner directly with senior leadership to produce ad hoc analyses and scenario models that shape real-time decision-making Identify and drive opportunities to improve our operating metrics, including leveraging AI and automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes Data Maintenance: Maintain clean and accurate financial data Maintain an always-on, updated financial forecast through daily and weekly model updates, with rigorous attention to detail across every input Serve as a thought partner and owner in streamlining data clean-up, building repeatable processes rather than one-off fixes Proactively flag data integrity issues and drive them to resolution Miscellaneous: Be a team player, ready to take on ad hoc tasks as needed Own the design, assumptions testing, and output of the financial projection model for our long-range corporate planning exercises Cultivate a transparent, trustworthy, and ethical work environment by staying engaged, curious, and accountable Support the FP&A team with other high-priority items (e.g., accounting/operational process improvements), documenting and communicating changes to stakeholders Requirements 2+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or related experience. Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate financial detail for non-finance audiences Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward ownership over task completion High analytical rigor Meticulous attention to detail Pay Transparency At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits.
