Responsibilities

• Support actuarial functions and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders, with particular focus on evaluating new business opportunities.
• Execute work assignments using actuarial and statistical methods.
• Benefit from an actuarial study program designed to motivate and support you through your exams.
• Report to the Senior Director, Actuarial.
• Work closely with the business development team in developing opportunity assessments for new clients or expansions with existing clients.
• Refine the opportunity assessment model to leverage more and better industry data as well as more specific operating assumptions.
• Support the contracting team by evaluating the financial impact of key contractual terms.
• Develop client‑specific assumptions for new business as part of the broader Finance budgeting process.
• Partner with FP&A to refine operating model assumptions supporting new business evaluation.
• Represent Finance on the Strategic Pricing committee.
• Create and present materials for client presentations, clearly communicating Strive’s impact.
• Partner with key stakeholders across Strive’s Finance, Partner Success, and Growth functions to identify data‑driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
• Present models and deliver insights/expertise to a diverse audience; communicate analyses and results to internal and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field.
• Minimum three completed actuarial exams.
• Internet Connectivity – Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down); Latency
• Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in value‑based care preferred.
• Experience with CMS shared savings programs strongly preferred.
