About This Role

As a Community Banking Relationship Manager (RM), you will “bring the bank to the customer” by connecting business customers with appropriate products, including commercial deposit accounts, payment products, treasury services, business planning, and credit accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Help customers succeed by understanding their needs and matching them with FNBO solutions, aligned with Wholesale Banking Group Behaviors.
  • Properly use Salesforce, Precision Lender, IMPAX, and nCino to manage customer relationships.
  • Collaborate respectfully with other roles and processes to deliver an uncommon understanding and value based on customers' financial needs and goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of 50 relationships averaging $50M in loans and $50M in deposits, with time allocation as follows:
    • 20% acquiring new business
    • 40% growing existing business
    • 40% servicing existing business
  • Build a portfolio of business customers by delivering advice and value, and by developing centers of influence (e.g., attorneys, accountants).
  • Guide, direct, and facilitate solutions across all product specialties of the bank for business customers.
  • Actively participate in the community to identify new business opportunities and solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Oversee portfolio quality, focusing on growth and retention in line with credit risk.
  • Facilitate product partners and support teams based on customer needs.
  • Negotiate terms and options with customers, qualify and document opportunities, and set expectations regarding timelines and document requirements.
  • Leverage technology and tools consistently for data quality, and use sales and prospecting tools effectively.
  • Partner with others across the enterprise to optimize referral opportunities and meet business customer needs.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program.
  • Complete compliance training, adhere to internal procedures and controls, and report any known violations or suspicious activity.
  • Exhibit professional behavior, promote positive working relationships, and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of successful commercial lending relationship management experience.
  • Ability to build and grow a diverse portfolio of business products with growing entrepreneurial businesses.
  • Strong customer and people relationship skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient credit analysis knowledge and skills.
  • Proven experience prioritizing and handling multiple customer relationships simultaneously.
  • Unrestricted work authorization; no future sponsorship required.

Customer Personas

The Community Banking Relationship Manager will manage portfolio relationships matching their skills to the needs of customers in their geography, including:

  • Entrepreneur/Growing Business – “I’m so busy! But, my business is taking off. Catch me if you can.”
    • Average employment tenure: 8 years
    • Company size: 10-15 employees
    • Management style: Wealth building, owner-led with others involved

Pay

Compensation range (base pay): $89,828.00–$148,215.00. Final compensation may vary based on work experience, education, and skill level.

Schedule

This role is anticipated to work onsite at the posted location. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
