Job Description As a Sr Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering advanced software solutions that drive innovation and enhance our product offerings. You will be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Aerospace’s Verification & Validation Center of Excellence. Help build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture Key Responsibilities Requirement AnalysisTest Strategy & Design to support Honeywell Aerospace’s products and solutionsTest Development, Reviews, Execution & DebugFormal Testing (RFS & SC)Certification SupportSupport the Test leads and Project Engineers in planning, TRR, Reviews and customer meetings.Support on technical coordination and leadership guidance with Tools, Test methodologies, Test Qual activities, etc.Providing verification deliverables, as per DO-178 / SW V&V CoE Process to the Program LeadCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Software and systems engineering, project Engineering, and quality assurance to deliver high-quality software products.Identify and implement software improvements and innovations to enhance product performance, scalability, and security. Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.8 years of experience in Software/Requirement testingKnowledge of software design principles, algorithms, and data structuresExperience and knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or PythonExperience with software development tools, version control systems, and agile methodologies WE VALUE Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldExperience in embedded systems, real-time operating systems, or industrial control softwareStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentHardware and software debug with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etc.)Hands on experience in Multicore Processor and good understanding of processor architectureExperience in avionics software/systems/software verificationExperience in development of application/driver for protocols like Arinc429, RS232, RS422, MIL-STD-1553Hands on AI usage to improve productivity and cycle time reductionDemonstrate good working knowledge on DO178B/C certificationTechnical skills with emphasis in the areas of software development and verification processes, certification, and DO-178 design assurance guidelinesUnderstanding of software verification methods and tools currently in use as well as versed in industry standards and directionKnowledge of software configuration management and change management practicesDiverse and global teaming and collaborationIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events About Honeywell Aerospace Join a company that's reintroducing itself to the aviation community we've helped advance for more than a century.
