About the role
The Sr. Administrative Assistant supports the Office of Curriculum & Instruction Services by handling secretarial duties, organizing professional development, and managing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and organize curriculum and assessment activities
- Create and process timesheets for curriculum-related work outside of regular hours
- Arrange for sample textbooks and test materials
- Build and maintain assessment and end-of-unit data trackers
- Maintain accurate records of certified personnel and administrator professional development requests
- Process reimbursements for conference attendees
- Prepare professional development materials
- Generate purchase orders and order instructional supplies
- Manage Google calendars and appointments with supervisors
- Facilitate and manage material distribution and collection
- Assist in planning district-wide events
- Utilize a broad range of technological tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides
- Maintain confidentiality of staff information
- Respond to inquiries from staff and the general public
- Open and distribute mail
- Perform general filing and answering phones
- Perform other duties as required by supervisors
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous office experience desirable
- Basic knowledge and experience with job-related computer hardware and software applications
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Ability to deal with problems
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community
- Adaptability and accuracy in performing duties
