Sr Acquisitions Specialist

About the role

KBR’s Intel Division seeks a Senior Acquisition Specialist to provide Acquisition support to senior government executives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in space and ground Acquisition Office(s) with Major System Acquisitions (MSA), Special Interest Acquisitions (SIA), and Experimental Research Demonstrations (ERD).

Responsibilities

• Provide Acquisition support to senior government executives.
• Review and update acquisition policy, planning, and processes in support of the customer’s Corporate Secretariat.
• Support the Office of the Director (ODIR) preparations for acquisition forums such as Joint Intelligence Acquisition Boards (JIAB), Advisory Boards, ASCs, Program Status Reviews (PSRs), and other forums.
• Write executive summaries and actions for Director, Corporate Secretariat (CS) to pre-brief program materials, status, issues, and actions to leadership.
• Coordinate, analyze, recommend, and provide responses to acquisition related or program IG reports.
• Coordinate responses to internal and external inquiries/forums pertaining to acquisition policy, processes, strategies, and issues.
• Execute many TIER actions in support of major acquisition review planning.
• Work closely with the Protocol Office for DV parking, seating charts, 1-on-1 office calls, etc.
• Manage multiple tasks and reprioritize frequently to align with Government priorities and deliver within short suspense timelines.

Requirements

• Vested experience in space and ground Acquisition Office(s) with MSA, SIA, and ERD.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise architectures and missions, Acquisition, IC Mission Partner interfaces, DoW (A&S) and Oversight roles and interactions, launch, etc.
• Technical and management experience/knowledge in space and ground acquisition programs and processes, especially with respect to major milestone review planning and execution such as Acquisition Review Boards (ARB), Acquisition Boards, National Intelligence Acquisition Boards (NIAB) with Oversight with supporting artifacts (VAR, IPA, ICE, etc).
• Knowledge and experience planning and executing MSAs, SIAs, and ERDs in accordance with customer directives.
• Must have executive-level communication skills and be a self-starter.
• Must have excellent meeting/note taking/presentation skills.
• Experience with executive level protocol procedures.
• Must be able to work independently and anticipate/resolve issues in a high-visibility, dynamic, constantly changing environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related experience with Masters, 17+ with Bachelors.
• Management level military or acquisition experience preferred, specifically DAWIA Level III in Program Management.
• Space acquisition experience with knowledge of interfaces between the customer and various IC and DoW mission partners and preferably experience with Acquisition Oversight processes.
• Must have an Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, STEM or related.

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
