This role is based in Palo Alto, CA or can be performed remotely. Preference will be given to remote candidates in the CST zone. It is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise, public company experience, and advanced SAP knowledge, who thrives in complex, high-accountability environments.
Responsibilities
- Own and prepare technical accounting memos for complex and non-routine transactions (revenue recognition, leases, accruals, inventory, etc.)
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Lead and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Support and maintain SOX compliance and internal control framework, including documentation and testing
- Partner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverables
- Perform variance analysis and provide clear financial insights
- Drive process improvements and close efficiency initiatives
- Support and optimize systems, including SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery
- Manage a team of direct reports
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment (Big 4 strongly preferred)
- Experience with U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos in a public or audit environment
- Experience with SOX implementation, control design, and testing
- Experience with financial reporting and month-end close
Qualifications
- Experience with FloQast and/or LeaseQuery
- Advanced SAP experience
- Strong technical accounting and documentation skills
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset

Pay
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
- Colorado: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually
- New Jersey: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually
- Delaware: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually
- Washington, DC metropolitan area: $132,000.00 - $220,000.00 annually
- California: $138,000.00 - $230,000.00 annually
- All other states: Geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges
