SR. Accountant (Part-time, Remote)

About the role

ARTECHOUSE, a leader in experiential digital art, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently own core accounting operations. This is a fully remote, part‑time position ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who values autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to manage the books solo without a large team.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements for three states.
• Perform monthly transaction reconciliations of all bank and credit‑card accounts.
• Manage full‑cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Calculate and file sales tax across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow reports.
• Produce quarterly financial reporting for leadership.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
• Support external tax preparers and auditors with documentation and schedules.
• Identify discrepancies or process gaps proactively and suggest improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of full‑cycle, hands‑on accounting experience (not entry‑level).
• Demonstrated ability to own the full accounting cycle independently.
• Prior experience as a sole or lead accounting contributor is a strong plus.
• Experience in multi‑unit retail, museums, attractions, or hospitality is a plus.

Skills

• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, ADP, and Microsoft Excel.
• Self‑starter with proactive communication; able to work without close supervision.

Pay

$65,000 annually.

Schedule

Part‑time, fully remote work schedule.
