Blue Yonder Defense Solutions Title Sr. Accountant II Location: US REMOTE Overview The part-time Sr. Accountant II will be a key member of the Finance Organization at Blue Yonder Defense Solutions, responsible for providing support to the company's accounting and financial reporting functions 8 to 10 hours per week. Scope This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial records and in supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports. What You Will Do Assist Financial management with various special projects as needed and directed for 8 to 10 hours per weekSupport the company's accounting and financial reporting functions, including the preparation of financial statements and reportsExpected to proactively identify, research, and resolve issues relating to accounting and finance assigned duties.Prepare and maintain accurate and complete records of the company's financial transactionsPerform various accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysisCollaborate with other members of the finance team to support financial reporting and analysis needsStay current on accounting principles, standards, and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements as neededEnsure the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial recordsAssist with the audit process and provide support to external auditors as needed What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in govconStrong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practicesProven experience in preparing financial statements and reportsThis position requires an experienced accounting and finance professional capable of performing duties with little to no supervision.Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on MS ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with accounting systems and technologies is a plus. The hourly rate for this position is $60.00 to $75.00 per hour. The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
