Sr Accountant - Financial Reporting

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Aid in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC and other filings.
  • Assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Research and address accounting, consolidation, and reporting issues.
  • Conduct research to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Education And/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires 5-8 years of relevant job related experience.
  • Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires 8+ years of relevant job related experience.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving ability to recognize and address issues.
  • Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and work habits.
  • Initiative with a desire to become involved in the business.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
