Summary

The Senior Accountant will oversee accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial statements, and provide strategic financial insights.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the section in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Support the annual audit process by working with Corporate accounting to meet external auditors' requests.
• Conduct analysis and contribute to the review of SBU Investment Committee Applications.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead internal control audits.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Review and approve accounting batches.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Aid in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing explanations.
• Retro Process: Validate, Update and Manage retro pricing with customers and suppliers.
• Lead reconciliation of monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory balances carried on monthly financials. Record any necessary adjustments resulting from counts.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.

What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing technical complexity
• CPA preferred
• Travel 20-30%
