Summary
The Senior Accountant will oversee accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial statements, and provide strategic financial insights.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the section in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Support the annual audit process by working with Corporate accounting to meet external auditors' requests.
- Conduct analysis and contribute to the review of SBU Investment Committee Applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Lead internal control audits.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Review and approve accounting batches.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Aid in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing explanations.
- Retro Process: Validate, Update and Manage retro pricing with customers and suppliers.
- Lead reconciliation of monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory balances carried on monthly financials. Record any necessary adjustments resulting from counts.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
What You Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing technical complexity
- CPA preferred
- Travel 20-30%
