Responsibilities
- Lead accounting for vehicle and related revenue streams, applying revenue recognition guidance to assess deliverables, pricing allocation, and sales channel treatment.
- Manage accounting for customer order deposits and prepayments, ensuring balances are accurately recorded, reconciled, and tracked through fulfillment.
- Prepare monthly close deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and reporting for inventory, revenue, and cost of goods sold.
- Review finished goods inventory for valuation considerations and record appropriate adjustments in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Partner with FP&A to support forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis related to vehicle sales, margins, and associated costs.
- Design and strengthen internal controls and scalable accounting workflows that support a growing commercial business environment.
- Assist with external audit requests and contribute to financial statement support for revenue and inventory-related disclosures.
- Evaluate the accounting impact of new products, go-to-market models, and operational changes before implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to help shape and execute an end-to-end order-to-cash process for vehicle transactions.
- Participate in ERP-related implementation activities by defining accounting needs, supporting testing, and documenting outcomes thoroughly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, with additional public accounting experience viewed favorably
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, including experience analyzing principal versus agent considerations
- Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, including valuation reviews, reserves, and physical inventory reconciliation
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and the ability to work with technical teams on process and data flow alignment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong attention to detail in analysis and reporting
- Demonstrated success handling month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- CPA designation or active progress toward certification is Mandatory
- Experience with Automotive, Manufacturing, EV and/or E-Commerce highly desired
