About the Role

The Senior Accountant will play an important role in supporting the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of the accounting function. This position is involved in month-end close, audit support, tax compliance, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. You’ll also work closely with internal and external partners, help strengthen controls, and provide guidance to staff.

Responsibilities

• Support improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls
• Help implement and document policies and procedures that support business needs
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with annual and special audits
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance with accounting policies and controls
• Ensure sales and use tax filings are completed accurately and on time
• Perform key month-end close responsibilities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
• Review work and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to staff
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Analytical thinker with sound problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Public accounting experience a plus
• Experience with sales, use, and property tax is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with ERP Systems, and Tableau/Power BI preferred
