Our client, a non-profit organization based in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.
About the role
The Senior Accountant will assist with month-end close procedures, maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile balance sheet accounts, create deferred revenue schedules, oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, monitor daily cash balances, post journal entries, and support other ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close duties
- Create deferred revenue schedules
- Monitor daily cash balances
- Maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable accounts
- Prepare financial statements
- Research and ensure compliance with US GAAP
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Non-profit experience preferred
- Sage Intacct experience a plus
