About the role
The Senior Accountant role is part of a growing organization with stellar benefits, offering a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activities, including account analysis and reconciliations
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Aid in financial analysis, reporting, and variance review
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support reporting needs
- Assist with audit support and special projects as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency
- Perform additional accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum of 3 busy seasons in Big 4 audit required
- CPA is a plus
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
