Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for our client in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing close activities, and ensuring balance sheet accounts are properly supported. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by recording and reviewing financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to routine and non-routine accounting activity, supported by appropriate documentation.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies until they are fully resolved.
• Complete bank reconciliations on a regular basis and follow up on outstanding items to keep cash records current.
• Analyze financial data and account fluctuations to identify variances, trends, and items requiring further review.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather accounting information, clarify transaction details, and support reporting needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior-level accounting role with responsibility for month-end close activities.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and researching unreconciled items.
• Proficiency in completing bank reconciliations accurately and on schedule.
• Strong analytical skills with careful attention to detail and organization.
• Able to manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
