Sr. Accountant

About the role

Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a strong, deadline driven, detail-oriented Accountant or Small Business Controller for a well-established Manufacturing client. Our client is looking for an Accountant or Small Business Controller to manage accounting and finance activities in a multiple entity environment reporting into a parent company. You'll oversee accounting operations, handle reporting, and partner with senior leadership to ensure sound financial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting functions for Multiple Entities including the month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, and maintain accurate workpapers and financial records.
• Prepare key financial reports including monthly and year-end statements, including the trial balances, income statements and balance sheets.
• Oversee budgeting, cash flow planning, and forecasting initiatives.
• Lead cash flow management and reporting.
• Work closely with departments heads and lead local audits.
• Supervise a small, tenured staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred not required.
• Previous accounting or controllership experience in a small business setting preferred.
• Must have experience in preparing financial statements on a GAAP basis including the trial balance.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills to build spreadsheets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
