Sr. Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end accounting tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and financial activity is recorded accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain complete and reliable general ledger records.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Review and complete bank reconciliations to support cash accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to identify variances and support accurate financial statements.
• Use SAP to process accounting transactions, monitor records, and support reporting needs.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel to organize data, perform account analysis, and create supporting schedules.
• Aid with accounting-related process updates and operational changes as needed within the finance function.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role with ownership of month-end close activities.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to complete account reconciliations and investigate variances effectively.
• Experience handling bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Hands-on proficiency with SAP in an accounting environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and account support.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
