Sr. Accountant

Responsibilities

• Aid in the closing and reporting process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Provide support to other departments and regional personnel as needed.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing assigned tasks and projects.

Requirements

• Four or more years of related work experience, though railroad experience is not required.
• Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple tasks and leading projects.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including both verbal and written abilities.
• Ability to build trust and maintain integrity in interactions with colleagues and customers.
• Team player with the ability to balance individual and team responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, but degrees in finance, business, or related fields, or equivalent work experience, may also be considered.
• Master’s degree and/or CPA certification are a plus, but not required.
