Sr. Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to support financial accounting activities, reporting, reconciliations, and key business initiatives. This role will work closely with various accounting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with statutory accounting standards, and the integrity of financial information.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial accounting functions and related control activities for assigned products and processes
• Ensure accounting activities conform to statutory accounting standards
• Verify the accuracy of accounting generated from multiple systems as well as manual accounting processes
• Research and resolve reconciliation issues, imbalances, and open suspense items
• Prepare and process journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Aid in a large-scale corporate initiative involving the creation of new accounts, reports, and accounting processes
• Support testing efforts related to system changes and evaluate their impact on accounting processes

Qualifications

• Experience with financial accounting functions, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Experience supporting month-end close activities
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
