Responsibilities
- Receive and process quotes, orders, pricing, availability, shipping costs, etc.
- Communicate with customers and process RFQs, POs, Returns, and order follow-ups.
- Possess detailed product knowledge to troubleshoot customers’ needs and provide solutions.
- Create and build customer relationships via email and telephone.
- Negotiate prices with customers for potential orders.
- Effectively communicate with internal departments including Shipping & Receiving, Quality, Finance, Operations, and Purchasing.
- Recommend products and services that best fit customer needs.
- Review and accurately enter Purchase Orders (Contracts) to comply with customer’s Terms & Conditions, Quality, and Customer-Specific Requirements.
- Be cooperative, positive, and respectful with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 7–10 years of related experience in Sales roles.
- Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of basic ERP systems and internet browsing.
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). ITAR requirement 120.15 applies; some positions require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements. This role requires access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information, and applicants must provide documentation to verify U.S. person status.
