About the role
Join a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) with Higher Education customers in Michigan. Help establish Amazon as a leading cloud platform provider.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and market share in a defined region.
- Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team, advancing market and technical strategy.
- Accelerate customer adoption and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with customers to ensure they are successful using AWS services.
- Understand the technical requirements of your customers.
- Understand the technical considerations and procurement processes specific to the public sector.
- Collaborate with AWS partners while communicating a relevant value proposition for your customers.
- Build strategic territory and account plans aligned to AWS's strategic direction.
- Build and manage an accurate and robust sales pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.
Requirements
8+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience.
Qualifications
Higher Education or public sector direct sales or business development experience preferred.
Skills
Business acumen, relationships, sales experience, and technical background.
