About the role
The Texas McCombs School of Business seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to oversee the administration of its portfolio of MBA global exchange programs. This role plays a vital role in delivering high-quality international learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the MBA portfolio of global exchange, double degree, and short-term exchange programs.
- Carefully coordinate all phases of program administration, including planning, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement.
- Advise students on international program opportunities, application processes, academic planning, and program requirements.
- Recruit, market, admit, nominate, orient, and support students throughout their global experience.
- Monitor student progress, maintain program documentation, and ensure timely completion of academic records and transfer credit processes.
- Administer program budgets, billing, and exchange balance reporting.
- Negotiate and administer exchange agreements, memoranda of understanding, and related contracts in collaboration with university partners.
- Audit program effectiveness through student learning outcomes, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise student employees and provide training to MBA Program Office staff on global exchange processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with approximately 30 international partner universities.
- Collaborate with MBA Admissions, Texas Global, Marketing, Financial Aid, Global Risk & Safety, University Health Services, and other campus partners to support program success.
- Coordinate annual exchange balance reporting, partner communications, and institutional documentation.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives that promote international opportunities to MBA students.
- Collaborate on resolving student issues and supporting successful program delivery.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand global partnerships and develop new exchange initiatives.
- Support Global Connections, Global Studies courses, and other McCombs+ experiential learning initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of experience in program administration or coordination.
- At least one year of professional experience coordinating education abroad programs in higher education.
- Experience managing complicated university and/or government policies and procedures.
- Experience working effectively with faculty, students, administrators, vendors, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work well on a team but also to work independently.
- A commitment to providing excellent administrative support to students and faculty.
- Proven ability to exercise high levels of discretion and judgement, providing practical solutions in the resolution of complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage a large volume of data with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous success managing multiple projects, assessing work priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with software, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and comfort learning new technologies.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, both at the University and remote locations and to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- More than three years of professional experience coordinating education abroad programs in higher education.
- Experience with University of Texas policies, procedures, and administrative systems.
- Experience living or working abroad.
- Marketing and/or design knowledge.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages.
