About the role
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining SQL Server databases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SQL Server databases
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance
- Implement and manage database backup and recovery processes
- Use Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for version control
- Work with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
- Design and implement data warehousing solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in SQL Server database development
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
- Experience with query optimization and performance tuning
- Knowledge of indexing strategies and execution plan analysis
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server Agent
- Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and maintenance plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or cloud database services
- Familiarity with C#, .NET, or Python
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL design
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
