SQA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced SQA Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through both manual and automated testing practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle to identify defects early and uphold high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing across web and/or mobile applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation frameworks.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools, and verify fixes through retesting.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand feature requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Perform basic performance and load testing where required.
• Maintain and improve existing test automation suites for better coverage and efficiency.
• Prepare clear and concise QA reports, test summaries, and metrics for stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and assist in knowledge-sharing within the team.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
