SQA Engineer

About the role

As a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer, you will improve quality that aligns with the site’s PPM and Demerit targets.

• Establish incoming quality requirements to ensure correct parts are received and verified for product quality prior to their issuance into manufacturing.
• Review product inspection history to make future inspection decisions.
• Organize goods incoming inspection when required.
• Review parts that have been rejected by the production floor to determine root cause so that parts can be pre-dispositioned.
• Drive supplier quality improvement.
• Initiate and validate corrective and preventive actions with the suppliers for immediate containment actions (Request of RMA for dispositioned).
• Manage supplier progress plans in co-operation with the plant buyers.
• Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); only after accepted by the Program Quality Engineer and the plant quality department.

Requirements

• Minimum education level: Associate's Degree is required.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• Basic Quality Techniques understood.
