Responsibilities
- Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including descriptions of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contact customer representatives to determine equipment/system issues.
- Perform service and repairs on various types of sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Diagnose and repair equipment using prescribed troubleshooting procedures and reference technical manuals, part manuals, and other relevant documents.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational product manuals.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
- Work independently and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
Required
- 3+ years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry, focusing on service and repair of sprinkler and suppression systems.
- Retain any necessary licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
- Maintain a truck inventory to ensure timely responses to customer needs.
- Adhere to and implement safety guidelines and procedures.
- Hold a valid driver's license with a driving record meeting company requirements.
- Be capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Have the ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet.
- Understand and comply with all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
Preferred
- NICET Level II certification.
Pay & Benefits
Hiring hourly range: $28-38 per hour (hourly rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
