Responsibilities
- Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including descriptions of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contact customer representatives to ascertain equipment/system issues.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial applications, including wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump systems.
- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins, modification notices, etc., to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Work independently and demonstrate the ability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- 1+ years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
- Retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Avoid non-compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
Preferred
- NICET Level II certification.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and a driving record meeting company requirements.
- Ability to follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
- Capable of following verbal and written instructions.
