Engineering Co-Op Summary

Support production team with meeting expected production schedules and material quality while controlling plant costs. Must be able to relate to all personnel both hourly and salaried to promote a cooperative interactive relationship with all team members.

Essential Functions

• Supporting the Production team with training initiatives (safety, quality, and operation) for hourly production employees
• Promote proper housekeeping and ensure all work areas are clean, maintained, and safe at all times.
• Makes necessary production system transactions.
• Responsible for tracking and supporting cost reduction efforts.
• Afford assistance in analyzing production data for establishing and documenting tasks
• Provides support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Afford assistance with Production Operation department duties.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with Production team to prepare, coordinate and maintain schedules for Production schedules.
• Work with operations to meet department goals.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
  • Enrolled and completed 2+ years accredited university in a related field of study (e.g. Business, Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing Management)
• Special Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency in Windows environment and software tools that support job responsibilities.
