About the Role

AdvanSix is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineering Co-Op for the Spring 2027 term at our Philadelphia manufacturing facility. This role is part of the Production Engineering team within the Operations department and offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world process improvements in a chemical manufacturing environment. The co-op will play a key role in developing and implementing a productivity-enhancing mobile system designed to support operator task management, streamline data collection, and improve decision-making for specific operating positions. This project will directly impact operational efficiency and plant performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a mobile system to enhance operator productivity, including task management and real-time data capture
  • Collaborate with production engineers and plant operators to identify workflow gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Support data collection, validation, and analysis to drive operational insights and decision-making
  • Assist with process optimization initiatives and troubleshooting efforts across plant systems
  • Document system functionality, user requirements, and process improvements

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 is required

Qualifications

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Interest in chemical manufacturing, plant operations, and process improvement
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools or software is a plus

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
