Spring 2027 Avionics Software Internship - Graduate
About the role
Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects in support of our business units, such as the design, development and testing of avionics hardware and software for programs ranging from orbital rockets, ground systems, test stands, to moon landers.
- Gain hands-on, real-world experience through mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers.
- Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
- Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
Qualifications
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for mission and vision.
Desired
- Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
- Hands-on project experience.
- Experience with software verification & testing.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Software coding experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python, JavaScript, Shell, Rust.
- Experience with embedded software.
- ARINC Standards, UML/SW Design.
- Flexibility and Adaptability.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
Benefits
We offer housing and relocation support. Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from their work locations.
Pay
Hourly compensation for applicant is: $38.00
