About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care for an assigned group of patients, reflecting Northside Hospital’s values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
• Clinical specialty certifications relevant to specific units
• Visual color acuity (required for certain roles in specific units)
