Spray Application
The Spray Technician is responsible for applying chemicals as directed.
Chemical Safety
Possesses an awareness of and commits to chemical safety practices.
Communication
Follows instructions accurately and communicates in both English and Spanish, orally and in writing.
Qualifications
- Has or can obtain a Qualified Agricultural Laborer (QAL) certification
- Basic knowledge of plant material
Physical Demands
- Work in or around situations near direct automotive traffic
- Work near or about natural bodies of water
- Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks, including some overtime and weekend work
- Work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Work in direct sunlight for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
- Load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto the trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
- Bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day
Work Environment
Works outdoors in extreme conditions near automotive traffic, natural bodies of water, and direct sunlight.
