Spray Application

The Spray Technician is responsible for applying chemicals as directed.

Chemical Safety

Possesses an awareness of and commits to chemical safety practices.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• At least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
• Strong stamina
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools
• Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Operate a BrightView fleet vehicle requires a valid driver's license and meets company standards for motor vehicle performance
• Flexible working hours including weekends or holidays if needed
• Maintain medications for known allergic reactions

Physical Requirements

• Outdoor/indoor work in moderate to extreme weather conditions
• Direct sunlight for extended periods
• Near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards
• Loud noise environments
• Environments with exposure to allergens, insects, and reptiles

Education and Experience

• Has or can obtain a QAL
• Basic knowledge of plant material
• Able to communicate in English & Spanish – oral and written

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required for operating company provided vehicles

Skills

• Safe operation of landscaping equipment
• Manual labor using a variety of hand tools
• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
• Flexibility in work schedule
• Knowledge of chemical safety practices
