Spray Application
The Spray Technician is responsible for applying chemicals as directed.
Chemical Safety
Possesses an awareness of and commits to chemical safety practices.
Instruction to Crew
Provides instruction to other members of the spray crew.
Education and Experience
- Has or can obtain a Qualified Applicator Level (QAL) certification.
- Basic knowledge of plant material.
- Able to communicate in English and Spanish – both orally and in writing.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day.
- Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks, including some overtime and weekend work.
- Work in extreme conditions, including temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Work in direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Work in situations near direct automotive traffic and near natural bodies of water.
- Work in conditions that may require working in extreme heat.
