Sportsbook Ticket Writer (Part Time

About the role

You will provide friendly, compliant service in a Virginia sportsbook, ensuring every customer feels welcome and receives clear, patient assistance with wagering.

Responsibilities

• Write and process winning tickets
• Handle customer questions and disputes
• Count cash at the start and end of each shift
• Engage customers with friendly conversation and service
• Explain wagering to new or infrequent customers
• Maintain compliance with Gaming Control Board requirements
• Call for MTL support when required for bet paperwork
• Adhere to the Uniform Policy and maintain personal presentation standards
• Anticipate and act on customer needs, responding to feedback
• Report any issues affecting the customer experience promptly
• Perform additional operational tasks as requested

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain a Virginia Gaming License
• Genuine interest in working with and helping customers
• Excellent communication skills
• Preference for working as part of a team
• Well-presented, polite, tactful, and friendly demeanor
• Ability to resolve complaints and difficult situations calmly and patiently
• Confidence in promoting products and services
• Effective at gathering and acting on customer feedback

Pay

$16.00 an hour
