Sports Program Monitor

Responsibilities

  • Operate the scoreboard and game clock for scheduled sports programs.
  • Start, stop, and reset the game clock in accordance with official rules and referee signals.
  • Record and update scores, fouls, and timeouts promptly and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with referees, coaches, and event staff regarding timing issues.
  • Ensure the clock and scoreboard equipment are functioning properly before each event.
  • Follow all facility and league rules for timekeeping and scoring procedures.
  • Maintain focus and attention to detail throughout games, including high-pressure moments.
  • Aid with pre-game and post-game setup and breakdown of clock/scoreboard equipment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or irregularities to facility management.

Qualifications

  • A flexible work schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Basic knowledge of sports rules (e.g., basketball, football, soccer, etc.) is a plus.
  • The ability to take direction from referees and officials quickly and accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability.
  • A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others.
