Sports Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens

Role Overview

This position is for a Medical Doctor (MD) providing inpatient and outpatient sports medicine coverage at a 251-bed acute care facility with Level 4 trauma designation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical care during day shifts and on-call hours
• Manage a caseload of 25-30 patients per day
• Provide comprehensive sports medicine services, including diagnostics and treatment
• Support inpatient and outpatient services with clinical staff, including an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• Clinical duties involve patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning

Qualifications & Skills

• Board certification is negotiable
• Experience in sports medicine or related fields preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong patient care and communication skills
