Course Description Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Credit 2.0/year Grades 10, 11, 12 Are you interested in a career in rehabilitative medicine? Join us at Pankow to explore your options, while learning entry level skills. Topics to be covered will include: Patient care and mobility, prevention of injuries, ambulation techniques, range of motion activities, anatomy and physiology with an emphasis on musculoskeletal, medical terminology, legal and ethical issues, communications, teamwork, OSHA safety standards, first aid and CPR skills. Qualifying students will have the opportunity to participate in a job-shadowing experience. NOTE: Successful completion of this course fulfills the following high school graduation requirements: Credit in Visual, Performing or Applied Arts OR the third science requirement Available only at the Pankow Center
