Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily activities for children ages 6 to 12 years old.
  • Lead group fitness games and teach basic skills across a variety of sports.
  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and well-supervised environment at assigned park locations.
  • Actively interact and participate with program attendees.
  • Manage and monitor the use of program equipment (e.g. bats, balls, and game supplies).
  • Complete required record keeping, including attendance, incident reports, equipment tracking, supply requests, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with sports and fitness staff, recreation personnel, and other city employees.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience in organizing sports, active and passive games, and supervising youth ages 6 to 12.
  • Education in Parks and Recreation, Family and Human Development, Elementary Education or related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with the public and team members.
  • Able to maintain focus and apply sound judgement in a dynamic environment.
  • Moderate physical activity required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, June 1 - August 7, 2026; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Pay

Salary: $13.00 - $16.00 Hourly
