Sports Bar Server- On Call

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Greet and welcome each guest seated in assigned station.
• Take food and beverage orders, deliver prepared food promptly, and check with table periodically to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain current and accurate information regarding menu (preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and plate presentation).
• Suggest items to guests based on expressed preferences.
• Up-sell appetizers, beverages, and desserts in accordance with restaurant service standards.
• Correctly enter food and beverage orders into the POS system to ensure accurate preparation of product.
• Resolve service issues according to established guidelines.
• Itemize, total, and present check for payment to correct customers.
• Assist bus persons in bussing, cleaning, and setting tables as necessary.
• Wipe counter areas, sinks, and floors to maintain a clean and safe work station.
• Maintain cleanliness of designated areas in accordance with established health and safety standards.
• Deep clean restaurant equipment (tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines, etc.) as scheduled or required; operate and maintain equipment in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
• Complete assigned side work as directed.
• Know and promote current casino events and programs; provide guests directions to all casino areas.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum one year of experience as a restaurant server.
• Extensive beer knowledge preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
• Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environments.
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Pay

Starting from $6.73 per hour plus tips.
