Responsibilities

• Adhere to HCCTR and all Food and Beverage Policies.
• Greet guests with a warm, friendly smile and deliver ACES Guest Service during all interactions.
• Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in line with department and Company standards.
• Consistently deliver high-quality food and service to ensure repeat visits.
• Exhibit behavior aligned with Property and Departmental Service Guarantees and Core Values.
• Maintain professional grooming and appearance as per policy.
• Carry dirty dishes from the dining room to the kitchen.
• Wipe tabletops and chairs according to departmental Health Standards.
• Set tables with silverware and glassware.
• Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the dining room.
• Assist servers with guests’ dining experience.
• Complete opening and closing duties.
• Perform tasks assigned by the dining room manager, chef, or supervisor.
• Handle other duties as assigned by department or company management.
• Maintain valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit, and TIPS certifications.
• Follow PPE and safety guidance to safeguard yourself, team members, and guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read simple words, recognize similarities/differences between words and numbers, and follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences, and read a guest check.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations involving concrete variables.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
• Must obtain Food Handler Certification and TIPS certification.

Skills

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and taste or smell.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Able to work in a smoke-filled environment with loud noise levels.
