Responsibilities
- Adhere to HCCTR and all Food and Beverage Policies.
- Greet guests with a warm, friendly smile and deliver ACES Guest Service during all interactions.
- Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in line with department and Company standards.
- Consistently deliver high-quality food and service to ensure repeat visits.
- Exhibit behavior aligned with Property and Departmental Service Guarantees and Core Values.
- Maintain professional grooming and appearance as per policy.
- Carry dirty dishes from the dining room to the kitchen.
- Wipe tabletops and chairs according to departmental Health Standards.
- Set tables with silverware and glassware.
- Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the dining room.
- Assist servers with guests’ dining experience.
- Complete opening and closing duties.
- Perform tasks assigned by the dining room manager, chef, or supervisor.
- Handle other duties as assigned by department or company management.
- Maintain valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit, and TIPS certifications.
- Follow PPE and safety guidance to safeguard yourself, team members, and guests.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read simple words, recognize similarities/differences between words and numbers, and follow written or oral instructions.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences, and read a guest check.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations involving concrete variables.
- Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
- Must obtain Food Handler Certification and TIPS certification.
Skills
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and taste or smell.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- Able to work in a smoke-filled environment with loud noise levels.
