About the Store Team
The Store Team is responsible for achieving and maintaining a high level of customer service and friendliness, which includes our outstanding Sporting Goods & Automotive team. The Store Team strives to create the best shopping experience possible for our customers. As a community-based company, we want our customers to feel right at home when they shop at Bi-Mart.
About the Role
We are looking for an organized and enthusiastic Sporting Goods & Automotive Sales Clerk to join Bi-Mart. This position builds, promotes, and delivers a high degree of customer service. Other responsibilities can include inventory replenishment, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining merchandise. Daily tasks include prompt and friendly service to our customers, and precise handling of customer transactions, including age-restricted merchandise, at our sporting goods counter.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and friendly customer service
- Handle customer transactions, including age-restricted merchandise
- Inventory replenishment and stocking
- Maintain merchandise and store appearance
- Solve problems and offer solutions to customers
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to be precise, set priorities, and organize workload
- Problem-solving skills and ability to offer solutions to customers
- Ability to engage with and assist a variety of individuals
- Provide excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, courtesy clerk, or other retail positions is a plus
- Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons is an asset
- Knowledge and experience with camping and other outdoor hobbies are valued
Schedule
Bi-Mart stores are open 9:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Friday and 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday - Sunday. Hours may vary depending on workload and assignment.
Pay
USD $16.10 - USD $19.25 per hour, paid bi-weekly with an on-demand payment option.
