About the role

The Sponsored Research Specialist is responsible for managing sponsored research projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and coordinating with external funders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of sponsored research projects including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with external funders to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies and funding agencies.
  • Oversee the procurement process for research materials and equipment.
  • Support the development and maintenance of institutional policies related to sponsored research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a research support role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations governing research, particularly those related to sponsored research.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with research grants and contracts.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and proposal development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
