Spiritual Health and Education Resident

About the role

The Spiritual Health and Education Resident is a paid time-limited one-year position for learners in a CPE program accredited by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE, Inc.).

Responsibilities

• Selecting residents through an application process under the guidelines of ACPE, Inc.
• Completing CPE training to meet requirements for professional chaplain certification, earn academic credit, and fulfill ecclesial requirements for ordination, faith group endorsement, or the equivalent.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved and/or accredited program of theological education
• Preferred: Successful completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in a program accredited by ACPE, Inc.
• Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or other Master’s degree in a related field
• Ordination, license, or endorsement by an acknowledged ecclesiastical body or specialized spiritual/philosophical/religious group
