Spiritual Care Counselor / Chaplain - Part Time

About the Role

The Spiritual Care Counselor / Chaplain provides spiritual support to hospice patients and their families, facilitating grief and bereavement processes, and serving as a liaison to faith communities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients' spiritual needs
• Support families through anticipatory grief and post-death bereavement
• Collaborate with faith communities and spiritual caregivers
• Build relationships to empower patients' spiritual journeys

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Ordination or credentialing per recognized religious organization
• Completion of three ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units
• Experience or education in grief and loss counseling
• Inter-faith competence and cultural sensitivity
• Minimum one-year supervised experience in medical, educational, or religious settings
