At Boeing’s Spirit AeroSystems Defense Business Unit, you’ll help deliver innovative engineering and rapid prototyping solutions to the defense and space marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Create measurement plans from engineering drawings using photogrammetry, laser trackers, articulating arms, or other 3-D metrology instruments to measure assemblies and subassemblies.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) graphic user interface software for design.
- Set up and operate 3-D metrology instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies.
- Develop training for performing 3-D measurements.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products.
- Perform statistical analysis to assess, characterize, control, and manage risks of product quality, associated use conditions, and non-conformances.
- Ensure corrective measures and deviations meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation complies with requirements.
- Perform root-cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (U.S. citizenship required).
- 5–9+ years of related experience.
Qualifications
- STEM background.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical field.
- Experience with measurement-specific software tools (e.g., Spatial Analyzer, Polyworks, Verisurf, Metrology).
- Hands-on measurement experience in both lab and production environments.
- Experience with photogrammetry, laser trackers, articulating arms, or other 3-D metrology instruments.
- Experience with CATIA, Enovia, 3-D Experience, and SAP.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as CATIA and NX.
- Knowledge of measurement software such as Spatial Analyzer.
- Able to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Able to properly use and care for precision measurement equipment.
- Able to approach issues with a logical framework.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working at elevated heights on ladders, scaffolding, and tooling.
- Experience safely climbing up and down ladders, scaffolding, and tooling.

Pay
Summary pay range: $69,550 – $106,650 (based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations).
This is a union-represented position. Post-offer drug testing applies. Must meet export-control compliance requirements (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15). Visa sponsorship is not available.
