Spirit Defense - Experienced NDI Inspector

Position Responsibilities

Possess the skills, knowledge and education to operate Multi-Axis automated ultrasonic systems and perform non-destructive inspection in a repair station environment.
Teach/program multi axis non-destructive test machines that perform complex motions.
Able to investigate and document Root Cause analysis and Corrective action (non-disciplinary).
Perform process and hardware audits and surveillance.
Responsible for using analysis techniques to evaluate the properties of materials, components or systems without causing damage.
Utilize Non-Destructive inspection methods (ultrasonic, eddy current) to verify parts and processes are in compliance with customer engineering requirements.
Set-up and standardize NDI equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
Establish techniques from approved general procedure or work instructions for final approval.
Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards.
Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees.
Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures.
Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT methods.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
• Must be willing and able to work any shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• NAS 410 NDI level 2 or level 3 certification (must be able to provide documented proof)
• Associates Degree or higher in NDI or NDT field (equivalent experience considered)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Ultrasonic experience
• Eddy Current experience
• Aerospace Industry experience

Pay & Benefits

• Summary Pay Range: $25.09/hour, with potential to earn up to $43.13/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
• Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
• Export Control Requirements: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
